Hi there! My name is Aria Sivick, and I am a professional Lighting Designer seeking new opportunities in the architectural and/or theatrical industries.

I'm currently based in Orlando, Florida as I just finished my year-long internship as a Walt Disney Imagineer, working as a Show Lighting Design Intern. Before working at Disney, I pieced together a custom B.F.A dual degree in Theatre Design & Technology (with a focus in lighting design), and Television, Radio, & Film from Syracuse University. There I had the opportunity to work in Los Angeles as a Production and Office Intern for Funny or Die and Sony Pictures, and move on to work alongside renowned lighting designers on regional productions and a national tour.

I grew up in Bethlehem, PA where I first discovered my love and passion for lighting design. After I attended my first Super Saturday Conference in NYC and hearing from the likes of Richard Pilbrow and Ken Billington, I knew I wanted to pursue lighting as a career. I will always remember when Mr. Pilbrow said, “If you have ever played with light in any fashion, even if it was just holding a flashlight to a wall, you are a lighting designer.” His words took me back to my freshman year in high school where I turned on a fixture for the first time. I was amazed at how just a single light source could transform an entire room.

After studying and working on a variety of projects in many different environments and spaces, I'm ready to pursue a career where I can transform perspective and create a powerful story in a space using lighting.

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my fiance, cuddle up with a great book, and obsess over Lilo and Stitch.

Fun fact: My favorite gel color is Rosco 358!
